Overview

WebBlock is a browser extension that helps users block distracting websites. WebBlock does not require an account and does not sell user data.

Data WebBlock processes

WebBlock processes only the data required to enforce blocking rules chosen by the user, including:

How data is stored

WebBlock stores extension settings and state locally in Chrome storage on your device. WebBlock does not run its own backend service to store your browsing data.

How permissions are used

External requests

To display site icons in the popup list, WebBlock may request favicon images from Google's favicon endpoint. This request can include the site domain needed to retrieve the icon.

Data sharing

WebBlock does not sell personal data and does not transfer user data to third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes.

Data retention and control

Your extension data remains in local Chrome storage until you edit settings, clear extension data, or uninstall the extension.
